Sea Glass and Sea Pottery Workshop

  • The Old Tailors 42 Woodmancote Cirencester GL7 7EF (map)

To all jewellery lovers!

Spend a creative afternoon at Bob The Old Tailors learning how to make your own silver and sea glass or sea pottery jewellery in this hands-on workshop led by Fiona Dowling from Jewellery Moves. This relaxed workshop offers you the chance to try something new, enjoy a calm creative atmosphere and leave with a piece of beautiful jewellery you have made yourself. Fiona will guide you through each stage of the process, including sawing, shaping, soldering, filing and finishing, as you make either a silver ring or a silver pendant set with sea glass or pottery. You do not need any previous experience at all, just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.

By the end of the afternoon, you will take home your finished piece of jewellery and have gained new basic silversmithing skills and confidence in making with metal. The workshop is kept intentionally small and friendly, with plenty of individual guidance. It is a lovely way to spend a few hours whether you come on your own, with a friend, or as a special treat.
